Dr. Schumacher Hygiene Levels

The area of disinfection and hygiene is becoming more and more complex. Dr. Schumacher has created a practical concept, which provides a simple structure for orientation – for every demand, in all fields of application.

PREVENT Level

Disinfectants with our Prevent hygiene level are primarily used in public areas of healthcare facilities.

Their limited virucidal spectrum is sufficient for enveloped viruses. These include HBV, HCV, HIV, and coronavirus and influenza viruses.

PRESERVE Level

In an environment with higher disinfection and hygiene requirements, our Preserve hygiene level disinfectants are used. The risk of infection is higher in treatment rooms and wards, so increased efficacy is also required.

The limited virucidal PLUS spectrum is sufficient for enveloped viruses as well as noroviruses, rotaviruses and adenoviruses.

PROTECT Level

The Protect hygiene level includes our most effective disinfectants. They are used in isolated areas of medical facilities such as intensive care units or oncology.

They minimize the risk of patients contracting preventable infectious diseases, protecting people's health and lives. Their virucidal spectrum includes limited virucidal and limited virucidal PLUS, and extends efficacy to ECHO, Coxsackie, Rhino, Picorna and Papillomaviruses.
